Below you can find a list of specialist services offered at the learn to shine school.
Speech and communication support
The Learn to Shine school offers unique, science based, and highly individualised methods to successfully tackle challenges with speech. Children feel pressure free and get to creatively explore ways to find their voice, in a way that suits them.
Our Curriculum
We pride ourselves on providing an accessible, engaging curriculum tailored to the educational and sensory needs of our children. This is not dictated by chronological development, but by the current gaps in knowledge that need support. Sessions are child led in focus and opportunities for literacy and numeracy are expertly built within. We recognise the fact that many children access blended learning so we weave sessions into the wider framework of the National Curriculum for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
For older students wishing to go on to KS4 and Higher Education, there is the opportunity to follow an AQA accredited Arts and Humanities programme, exploring the worlds of Creative Arts and Psychology, led by an approved AQA examiner. We are also currently exploring the Arts Mark status to award our attendees progress.
Behaviour coaching
Are you in need of an SEN ‘Supernanny’? Sick of being told you ‘just need to be strict’? One of our most popular services, parents and carers are able to access bespoke coaching to successfully navigate the daily (and unique) challenges that come from being in a Neurodiverse family. Start finding harmony from week one.
Art workshops
Therapeutic bespoke art sessions are available for all parents, carers and young people. Sessions are designed to provide mindfulness or to build particular 2D & 3D Art skills. 1:1, group, gift sessions and ‘Make it Outstanding’ school training sessions are available
